Music Ministry
Through the blessed talents of numerous members of the St. Mark family, we are able to maintain and grow a full and inspirational Music Ministry. These talents are displayed throughout all age groups and serve to continually enrich the spiritual growth within and outside our community. TAKE A LOOK!!!!!!!!!
Children's Choir
Children of the church ages 4 - 12 years are a growing part of our Music Ministry and share their talents on 4th Sunday's during morning worship. Their music is light and spiritually uplifting. Truly a treat for all to hear. Under the direction of Mrs. Brenda Benson.
Youth Choir /Voices of Hope
Teens of the church ages 13 - 17 years take part in our Music Ministry on 2nd Sunday. Their ministry is full of hope and promise and serves to fill our church family with the spirit of hope. The Voices of Hope is a portion of our Music Ministry that exhibits the talents of these young people. Their gospel style keeps us grounded with the remembrance of from which we have come, while helping us prepare our hearts for the future. Under the direction of Mrs. Brenda Benson.
Inspirational Choir
The Inspirational Choir provides a ministry that is spirit-filled, sincere, humble, and obedient to the will of God. The choir is comprised of adults of all ages and shares its ministry with the church family on 3rd Sundays. This choir's ministry regularly reaches out to other churches and community gatherings. The choir is under the direction of Ruby Lewers, and assisted by Juana Slade. The Inspirational choir's musician is Mr. Dwight Woods.
The Chancel Choir
The Chancel choir is comprised of Adult members of our church of all ages. This group is under the direction of Brother Anthony Jackson and they provide music during morning worship on 1st Sunday morning.
All Male Chorus
The James R. Greer All Male Chorus is comprised of an upbeat group of males who love sharing their talents. The men take part in our Music Ministry on alernate 5th Sundays during morning worship service. These are men on the move for Christ. Under the direction of Mrs. Brenda Benson.
Women of Faith
The Women of Faith Choir is comprised of females ages 16 and older who have a love of God and a love of singing. These women meet once a month for rehearsals and take part in worship services for Women's Day and alternate 5th Sundays of the month. Under the direction of Mrs. Brenda Benson.
The St. Mark Orchestra
The St. Mark band consists of members of all ages who have a love of music and wish to share the talents of their instruments with the church family. Under the direction of Mr. Johnnie Devore it is one of the first church bands in the upstate of South Carolina. Our band is currently on hiatus.
The St. Mark Vessels of Praise
Under the leadership of Faurtina Martin the newly formed St. Mark Vessels of Praise usher the holy spirit into service each Sunday morning. This group of individuals of all ages have a desire to serve God and sing his praises while welcoming him into our worship services.
Girls for Glory Praise Dancers
This group is comprised of youth girls from ages 13 -21 who enjoy doing dances of Praise. They are under the leadership of Kalea Culberson, with adult advisor Faurtina Martin.
Boys of Praise Mimes
This unique of young men provide Mime interpretation of popular gospel music. They use make-up and costumes to accentuate their style. The group leader is John Garrison with adult advisors Jewel Moses and Gena Garrison.
